तेरा हो जाना ऐ यीशु है काफी

Tera ho jana ai Yeshu hai kafi

To be yours, O Jesus, is enough;

दुनिया की दौलत से भी प्यारा तू,

Duniya ki daulat se bhi pyara tu,

you are dearer than the wealth of the world.

मुझको तू खींच ले अपने पास ऐ प्यारे

Mujhko tu khinch le apne pas ai pyare

Draw me close to you, O beloved;

हलीम होता तेरे साथ रहने को।

Halim hota tere sath rahne ko.

I become meek so as to stay with you.

पापी से प्यार यहां तक कर दिखाया

Papi se pyar yahan tak kar dikhaya

You showed love for the sinner to this extent;

छोड़ फलक जमी पर आ गया

Chhod falak zamin par a gaya

leaving the heavens, you came to earth;

पाताल से कैदियों को छुड़ा लाया

Patal se kaidiyon ko chhuda laya

you brought the prisoners out of the world below;

हलीम तू है रुतबा तेरा आला।

Halim tu hai rutba tera ala.

you are meek, yet your standing is the highest.

Dukh mere teji se hain badhte jate

My sorrows keep growing quickly,

और मौत की रात भी मुझको डराये

Aur maut ki rat bhi mujhko daraye

and even the night of death frightens me;

पर मैं सदा तुझी में आराम पाऊं

Par main sada tujhi mein aram paun

but I always find rest in you alone;

Fath ke git Siyon mein sada gaun

may I sing songs of victory in Zion forever,

सदा के लिये तेरे साथ रहूं।

कूव्वत से मामूर कर मुझे खुदावन्द

Kuvvat se mamur kar mujhe Khudavand

fill me with strength, Lord;
