दुनिया पर अंधेरा है अब छाता

Duniya par andhera hai ab chhata

Darkness is now spreading over the world;

यीशु के आगमन का समय निकट आता

Yeshu ke agaman ka samay nikat ata

the time of Jesus' coming draws near;

प्रतीक्षा में रहते जो सदा उसी की

Pratiksha mein rahte jo sada usi ki

those who always wait for him,

चमकाएगा वह उन पर ज्योति।

Chamkayega vah un par jyoti.

he will make light shine upon them.

चारों ओर अशान्ति है लहरों की तरह

Charon or ashanti hai lahron ki tarah

There is unrest on every side like waves;

निन्दा और अपमान भी बढ़ता जाता

Ninda aur apman bhi badhta jata

slander and insult keep increasing;

अपने लहू से दाम चुकाया हमारा

Apne lahu se dam chukaya hamara

he paid our price with his own blood;

छलकता खुशी से मन मेरा।

Chhalakta khushi se man mera.

my heart overflows with joy.

मां बच्चे को भूल जायेगी तो भी

Man bachche ko bhul jayegi to bhi

Even if a mother forgets her child,

मैं इस को भूलूंगा नहीं कभी

Main is ko bhulunga nahin kabhi

I will never forget this one;

आंख की पुतली के समान रखूंगा तुझे

Ankh ki putli ke saman rakhunga tujhe

I will keep you like the pupil of my eye;

प्रतिज्ञा यह है मेरी तुझसे।

Pratigya yah hai meri tujhse.

His shining righteousness is like the sun;

होता उद्धार उसका बहुत प्रकाशमान

Hota uddhar uska bahut prakashman

his salvation is very radiant;

स्तुति और गाने का सुर तुझसे निकलेगा

Stuti aur gane ka sur tujhse niklega

praise and the melody of song will come out of you;

यीशु तुझे ऐसा बनाएगा।

Yeshu tujhe aisa banayega.

this is how Jesus will make you.

Siyon parvat ke prakash se sara

With the light of Mount Zion, all of

प्रज्वलित होता यरुशलेम नया

Prajvalit hota Yarushalem naya

the New Jerusalem is set aglow;

लाखों दूतों की स्तुति की आवाज सुन के

Lakhon duton ki stuti ki avaz sun ke

hearing the sound of praise from millions of angels,

दौड़ो तुम उस तरफ आशा से।

Daudo tum us taraf asha se.
