परम प्रधान के छाए

Param pradhan ke chhae

In the place covered by the Most High

हुए स्थान में जो बैठा रहे

Hue sthan mein jo baitha rahe

whoever stays seated there,

सर्वशक्तिमान की छाया में ठिकाना

Sarvashaktiman ki chhaya mein thikana

will find a dwelling in the shadow of the Almighty;

वह पायेगा यह भाग्य है।

Vah payega yah bhagya hai.

this is his good fortune.

यहोवा मेरी शरण है

Yahova meri sharan hai

Jehovah is my refuge;

मेरा गढ़ और फाटक वह है

Mera gadh aur phatak vah hai

he is my stronghold and gate;

उसकी सच्चाई मेरे लिये ढाल और झिलम है

Uski sachchai mere liye dhal aur jhilam hai

his truth is my shield and armour;

मैं उस पर भरोसा रखता हूं।

Main us par bharosa rakhta hun.

I put my trust in him.

रात के हर एक भय से

Rat ke har ek bhay se

From every fear of the night,

दिन में उड़ने वाले हर तीर से

Din mein udne vale har tir se

from every arrow that flies by day,

अंधकार में फैलने वाले महारोग से

Andhkar mein phailne vale maharog se

from the plague that spreads in darkness,

मैं डरूंगा कभी न।

Main darunga kabhi na.

I will never be afraid.

हजार और दस हजार लोग

Hazar aur das hazar log

Thousands and ten thousands of people

मेरे निकट जब गिर जायेंगे

Mere nikat jab gir jayenge

when they fall near me,

तौभी वह मेरे पास कभी न आयेगा

Taubhi vah mere pas kabhi na ayega

even so, it will never come near me;

वह मेरा शरण स्थान है।

Vah mera sharan sthan hai.

he is my place of refuge.

यीशु मेरा सहारा

Yeshu mera sahara

Jesus is my support;

कोई विपत्ति न आयेगी

Koi vipatti na ayegi

no calamity will come;

कोई दुःख मेरे डेरे में न आयेगा

Koi dukh mere dere mein na ayega

no sorrow will come into my tent;

क्योंकि दूतों का पहरा होगा।

Kyonki duton ka pahra hoga.

for there will be a guard of angels.

Tere sab margon mein

In all your ways

तुझे दूतों का पहरा मिलेगा

Tujhe duton ka pahra milega

you will have a guard of angels;

तेरे पाँवों को पत्थर से ठेस न लगे

Tere panvon ko patthar se thes na lage

so that your feet do not strike against a stone,

तुझे हाथों में उठा लेगा।

Tujhe hathon mein utha lega.

he will lift you up in his hands.

शेर, सांप और अजगर को

Sher, sanp aur ajgar ko

The lion, the snake and the python

तूने बिल्कुल कुचल दिया

Tune bilkul kuchal diya

you have crushed completely;

उसके नाम पर तूने भरोसा रखा है

Uske nam par tune bharosa rakha hai

you have put your trust in his name,

इस लिये वह छुड़ाएगा।

Is liye vah chhudayega.

therefore he will deliver.

कष्टों के समय उसे देख

Kashton ke samay use dekh

In times of trouble, look to him;

जब मैं उसको पुकारूंगा

Jab main usko pukarunga

when I call on him,

तब छुटकारा देकर वह रक्षा करेगा

Tab chhutkara dekar vah raksha karega

then he will give deliverance and protect me;

मेरा प्राण प्रिय यीशु है।

Mera pran priya Yeshu hai.

my beloved Jesus is my life.
